The Finer Points of Beauty

Well, this is my fruit of a very tedious labour. It all started in about April or so of last year in the grade 12 art class when we were told to create a piece out of dots of paint. I don't know why I chose a butterfly and a rose, but I did.Well this took me FOREVER. I remember working on this night after night, and I still didn't get it done on time (though he gave me a high mark on it anyway). I was going to work on it during the summer, but then I somehow lost all my green paint somewhere (by the way, I still haven't found it) so I had to buy some more, then find some toothpicks, and then find the time and motivation to complete it and... well... that is a very long process for me hahaha. and I probably finished it around January I think. I didn't post it in earlier because my home printer isn't big enough to take on the whole painting, so I had my sister scan it in at her work scanner, and it didn't get around to scanning in the copy and posting it until now, even though if you see me at convention and pay attention to my print binder, you may have seen this before.

I do have some WIP's of this painting. and I may or may not post them. We'll see.

Anyway, in case you are interested, this way of painting is called "Pointillism" and due to the nature of the work, I had the title as a play on words. Get it? Finer Points?

C'mon now, I get to be punny once in a while, right?
